Because I can't read Japanese what is up of this site looks entirely like an Axel/Roxas BL game. Except for the random Organization members on the main page but bahahah :'< story and characters.

... I find Roxas boring so I hope this game focuses more on his interactions/the other members than it does him. Um.

Carnelian Signet? Try "bomb ring." [22 Jul 2008|08:11pm]

The last few days have been pretty hectic: it was basically a question of "watch Avatar finale" or "write paper" and somehow, I actually managed to do both. Which is why I haven't been responding to LJ comments and/or drawing silly pictures of Batman for my own fiendish purposes.

Also, [info]gamera, it's not my fault you read Twilight. My post is clearly labeled "I read Twilight so that you don't have to."

But mostly, this. )

Also, a comment participation meme. Stolen from everyone. (Look [info]avianthropy! You're not last.)

[ music | The Tudors - Henry Meets Anne Boelyn ]

So i re-wrote the essay with a little more thought.

"The arts are a necessity, like food and water, for a true civilization to thrive. The arts can be identified as a form of communication, be it visually or verbally. Communication, like food and water, is definitely an instinctive force that can make, or break, the human race. The arts, as a whole, convey a civilizations legacy. Without this form of expression, great cultures of antiquity would be extinct in the records of time. Thus, great world powers of the current era struggle to master the art of communication. Every action is documented and every form of the arts is held in high regard. Civilizations who have perfected the arts are seen as refined and sophisticated, while those who have not are seen as tribal and insignificant.

History tells of instances where a cultures understanding of the arts became so popular and widely practiced that anyone without the same traditions were viewed as barbarians. Examples of such treatments can be found between the Romans and the Gauls. As the Romans conqured most of Europe, they forced their culture, religions, and artistic tradictions upon the regional tribes. Another example is that of the European conquest of the "new world." The beliefs and arts of the 15th century European settlers were forced upon the natives and those tribes that retaliated were believed to be un-educated in the ways of the world and shunned from society, eventually to be thrown out of their own land.

Thus, the arts are truly a necessity, for whoever holds the power of the arts holds the influence of the world. The arts will go on till the end of time and the cultures who have mastered this broad field will be happy to know that their impact on the world will be recorded forever."

PS: Someone backed up into my car in the parking lot at work today. The back of my fender, where my tire is, is loose and flying up against my tire. When i drive it rubs against it and makes a really loud noise. Took it to an auto care place and they said that the bolt the binds the fender to the body of the car was bent and the fender is a bit loose. I filed a claim with insurance but i just don't have the money that they want ($500 deductable). And since i left the accident scene without contacting the police, i can't put a police claim in (i didn't realize something was wrong until i was on the highway and the loose part of the fender started hitting against my tire).

What a bunch of bullshit. Honestly.

I have NOT been having a good week. Can you tell?

So i'm applying to UMBC right now and i'm at the "required for freshman/tranfers students who want monies" essay. READ IT PLZ.

Topic: "The arts are a necessity, like food and water, for true civilization."

Many say that the definition of a true civilization is that which boasts an advanced state of human society. While this is correct, I believe that a true civilization cannot thrive without the arts. Despite being a broad category, the arts are, what I believe, to be the essence of a group of people. Without the arts, the great societies of our past, such as the Egyptians and Romans, would be so minuscule in the records of the world that they would all be forgotten. As such, without the arts in both of these famous conquering countries, the world as we know it would never be the same. An example is the written word. The Egyptians brought us knowledge of this art through imagery and symbols.

In current civilizations, only the most powerful nations seem to hold the title as the center of the artistic world. Everything from recent fashion trends to how the world handles their money can be traced from this epicenter. And currently, this power belongs in New York City, where the population exceeds some smaller countries in Europe. I believe that without this center, America would not be the world power it is today.

Thus, the arts are truly a necessity for whoever holds the power of the arts holds the influence of the world. The arts will go on till the end of time and the cultures who have mastered this broad field will be happy to know that their impact on the world will be recorded forever.

On that note I want to draw but I don't know what I want to draw. It is kind of like how I am with food! I... I have no ideas, no imagination, none at all. This is not an exaggeration, this is an understatement.

Also I hate those dreams that are so real you can feel them. I woke up this morning with some very odd ideas in my head about what had happened, and was very disappointed upon realizing that I do not, in fact, own a functioning time machine. ;_;

leveling black mage [16 Jul 2008|10:40am]

flying_piggies
I associate solo leveling Black Mage in FFXI, the equivalent of jamming a fork in a socket...over...and over....and over.... The job itself appeals to me...leveling it solo however.... It's either do that, sit in Campaign battles until I have drool dripping down my face...or solo level and get "meh" experience points..... I'm sorry Square, seriously, Campaign sucks, it's pointless, boring, and you get very little xp for the time you devote to it. I honestly think it's what made me begin to get bored with the game. Oh and you're really setting yourself up to fester the server's with more incompetent players. "I'm level 40!... What's a Skill Chain?..."  Really f-ed yourself over when you introduced the "magic resistant" Aht Urgahn areas. C'mon...new area, you know everyones going to switch to leveling there with the xp bonus Sanction gives you, and you don't do anything to prevent jobs from being loled. o_O

Maybe I'll level LOLpup.....just so I can pick fights with a-holes that run and give me random /tell's "LOL pup".

"Well, LOL at your stupid, twat face you ignorant prick!"

Oh but thank you for introducing Sekkanoki at least I can preform my own Skillchain's (since people don't seem to want to cooperate with me and do them.) like the competent Samurai that I am. (At least until I get into a Japanese party.....then I turn into the LOLbadplayer in their eyes.... I do however, love their parties, I just do my job and don't have to talk....not a fan of idle chit-chat in parties, I find it slows them down.)

...I think a part of me dies inside when I visit myspace.com...

Also, I'm really not used to being surrounded by "nice" people. I feel more uneasy around nice people, than the bitter, nasty, people (aka family) that I'm used to. I'm used to having my guard up all the time, which is why I get "mad" in weird situations. Austin pointed it out several times. I get angry at things I shouldn't, like instead of showing the other "emotions", like depression when something gets me down, I don't get mopey, I get angry.

hehe I -used- to be a nice person. Way back before society and family ground me into the dirt. :P

I think about this a lot. We're all initially innocent until a certain time. Blah.

Oh, and kudos to the people over at WoW Ladies for going through the trouble of creating level 1's to sign my guild charter..hehe Tibi's got her own bank  to share with Austin's bank character! You girls rock! (Why do I get the feeling all my enchanting materials will soon be pilfered...)

Oh...and how is Melrose Place a good show...o_O Tvtropolis shows it here...it's sooooo bad. I was too lazy to turn off the tv once Seinfeld was over and caught some of it. So damn stupid. Who writes that crap!?

"Do Not Collect $200" [13 Jul 2008|03:59pm]

Do Not Collect $200 by J. Wiltz

A short play about Napoleon, Hitler, Lenin, and James Joyce joining up to play.... Monopoly. Yes, that's right. We even have concept art! =P

I might have mentioned this in one of my entries about a year ago when some of my classmates from high school performed it, but I can't seem to remember. In any case, I thought it would be fun to share, seeing as I didn't find the script up until a few months ago. You'd probably have to know your history to get some of the jokes (Well, not really. Napoleon? At Waterloo? How about the Communist Manifesto? Anyone?!). There's also a short film done by an indie company, which you can view in two parts:

Script: here!
Part I: http://youtube.com/watch?v=OdSIXBPGoY4
Part II: http://youtube.com/watch?v=dion29zlAgQ

I would suggest reading the script first, or following it at the very least. The video quality isn't the best (I mean, it's YouTube), so some of the lines might be a little hard to make out. Overall, it's pretty good, and a lot of fun to watch a Hitler screaming over a board game.

weekend visit [13 Jul 2008|03:16am]

flying_piggies
I think I'm pretty much done with FFXI for a long time now. They make things overly difficult...to the point where you can't get anything done. I think the horrible attempts at this CoP mission sort of did it in for me.  I'm moving on I guess....sadly though, I didn't get to complete most of my missions or anything like that, it's a shame since I liked the story. *sigh* No one's ever really on anymore (my friends), I logged on to find that someone who I consider a friend is leaving the server to follow his precious LS leaders (who ditched from what it sounds like.) Whatever. Wont go into how I always seem to get crapped on as far as friendships go. (no one would follow me around, the only friend who ever did come through as far as that sort of thing was Austin actually..)  All the more incentive for me to stop playing. I'll send most of my gil to a few closer friends ingame before I go. I don't think I would go so far as to delete my character, as I might go back someday. (but I really think the game is dying slowly...><)

Sunrise, sunset, or some shit like that.

WoW has been going good. I'm still somewhat skeptical of this guild we're in...the leader is a bit iffy sometimes, like he'll act "solid" one day, then the next day say weird things about leveling on a new server (when they make another one) to open the AQ gates to get a title and mount...=/ That right there made me very skeptical at the longevity of the guild. I'm used to having a reliable guild leader...this doesn't fill me with confidence. We'll see. I'm not too worried, worse comes to worse, I'll transfer to Bronzebeard and join Daughters of the Alliance.

In real life land, Austin, his mom, and I went out for the day. Visited the local market, stopped in for an awesome lunch at Stoney's (best sandwich I've ever tasted), and explored the town a bit more. We found an awesome grocery story that sells all organic/locally grown natural foods. That makes me really happy, they even have the natural makeup and beauty products. I plan to take advantage of that when I get my job. :) Being out today made me realize how pretty this town is.

Next visitor will be my dad, I really miss him. ><

Crossover spectacular! [11 Jul 2008|12:24pm]

terra
Okay, my friend Ryan emailed this to me, and it is pretty much the best thing ever. Here are some of my results:

This fanfic is about The knights who say NI (Monty Python and the Holy Grail) fighting Guy Noir (A Prairie Home Companion) with super-powerful Digimon. Important to the plot: The Anti-Life Equation.

This fanfic is about Rita Skeeter (HP) fighting Cobra with super martial arts.

This fanfic swaps Hobbes (Calvin and Hobbes) and Ulysses S. Grant.

This fanfic is about Det. Lenny Brisco (Law and Order) fighting Mozart with a clever blackmail scheme. Important to the plot: A mysterious briefcase.

This fanfic is about the cast of Importance of Being Earnest fighting the Borg with psychic powers.

This fanfic is about Dr. Crane (Batman Begins) and Up Arrow (Dance Dance Revolution) in The Birdcage.

This fanfic is about D'Artagnan (Three Musketeers) being corrupted by Raven (That's So Raven). The Edge (U2 guitarist) tries to help.

Which brings me to the comment participation part of this post: suggest a horrible crossover, and I will try to write a sentence or two of it.
